■ How to get to the Lucerne Transport Museum
From Lucerne Central Station, take any bus number 6, 8 or 24 to get off at Verkehrshaus Transport Museum Station. If you take the bus, it takes about 15 minutes. For the cruise, take the cruise ship bound for Weggis Vitsnau to Mt. Rigi and get off at the first stop. You can take a cruise, walk, or take a train, but it's best to get there by bus.

The size of the exhibits is considerable, and the quality of the exhibits is very good. It is a bit unfortunate that it is not free with the Swiss Pass, but it is one of the places that is well worth it. A lot of learning can be conveyed to children in an experiential form.

The transportation museum is divided by the genre of means of transportation. The exhibits are divided into railways, automobiles, ships, aviation, and heavy equipment. Various transportation means of actual size are on display, and some can be climbed and manipulated.
