■ Weather in Vevey
On windy days, waves hit the lake and can be a little scary. It is a place to go to see Lake Lehman rather than to see Vevey village, so let's go when the weather is nice. Summer is usually better than winter.
■ Estimated travel time
If you don't have a food museum in Vevey, you can see it in about an hour or two. Most of the time, in less than an hour, I started to step back.
■ Sightseeing in Vevey
Vevey's signature attractions are the statue of Charlie Chaplin and the fork of Lake Lehmann built by Nestle. These two are attached to each other, so you can see everything to see in no time.
■ Vevey in and out
Since it is not very far from Lausanne, it is most common to travel to Vevey via Lausanne, and in Lausanne and Bern, it is possible to take a day trip. When looking at Vevey alone, half a day is usually enough, so it is common to mix and match a few of Labo, Montreux, and Lausanne. You don't have to simply come by train, and you can take a cruise from Montreux or Lausanne to Vevey, so if you have a Swiss Pass, consider this method as well.

▶ The fork and Charlie Chaplin
When you get off at Vevey Station, you have to walk a little closer to the lake. There is a fork that deserves to be called a landmark, and I can't say that you must come to Vevey to see it, but if you want to have a little fun, it is worth stopping by at least once. When passing through the city to go to the lake, it has its own taste, so it is not very boring.
