Trip to Europe
■ Eve and the weather
It's a tour around the town where the weather is not very limited, but you also take a cruise on the Lake Leman, so you don't have to visit it if the weather isn't too good.
■ Estimated travel time
The travel time from Lausanne via Nyon to Evewa is about 1 hour. Considering the round-trip travel time and Eve and viewing time, it is recommended to estimate 3 to 5 hours.
■ Eve and Sights
Swiss Travel Pass holders don't have any landmarks in the French village of Evewa, where they can go for free. If you just walk around the village and eat a crepe, you may feel like France for a short time.
■ In and out of Eve and Yvoire
Evewa is between Geneva and Lausanne, Switzerland. If you stay in one of the two, one of the recommended destinations is Evewa. To get to Evewa, you have to take a boat through Nyon, Switzerland. Swiss Pass holders can use the cruise at this time at no extra cost.
▶ Geneva-Nyon One-way train time required: 15 minutes
▶ Lausanne-Nyon One-way train time required: 30 minutes
▶ Nyon-Yves and one-way cruise time required: 20 minutes
When you arrive at Nyon Station, you will have to walk 10 to 15 minutes to the cruise ship dock. I want to go leisurely while looking around the village (the village is pretty), but usually the time of the cruise ship is just right when the train arrives and walks right away, so let's walk in a hurry. It is better to visit downtown Nyon to see it.
When you reach the shore of Lake Lehman, you will see a cruise ship dock. If you have a Swiss Pass, you can board without purchasing a separate ticket. The cruise boarding time is about 20 minutes.
When traveling from Switzerland to France, there is no separate passport check due to the Schengen Treaty. Of course, you can ask to show the Swiss Pass to see if it's you, but it's a bit rare. Then it's time to see if it smells a little French.
